About the Artist: Nan Wagner
Nan is a graduate of Illinois State University's Department of Fine Arts; with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Painting and Sculpture (1980). She has over 20 years of graphic art, typography and design experience. Presently, Nan works as a Graphic Artist for M&D Creative & Licensing, a subsidiary of Anagram International, Inc., where she produces licensed artwork for Nickelodeon and Disney, among others. A Breyer collector since childhood, Nan rediscovered model horses in 1990. A few years later, she began repainting and resculpting models. China, resin and original finish restoration was the next step in what quickly became a second occupation. Mystic River Studio has provided many hobbyists with top award winning models, which consistently place in Live Model Horse Shows. Nan's restoration work has helped round out the collections of many who thought certain models would be forever unattainable.
